Hello, Please note that this comment was generated automatically. If you feel that this output has mistakes, please contact me via email (mhroncok). Your package (gnome-kiosk) Fails To Install in Fedora 36: can't install gnome-kiosk: - nothing provides libmutter-9.so.0()(64bit) needed by gnome-kiosk-41.0-1.fc36.x86_64 - nothing provides libmutter-clutter-9.so.0()(64bit) needed by gnome-kiosk-41.0-1.fc36.x86_64 If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem. If you don't react accordingly to the policy for FTBFS/FTI bugs (https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/), your package may be orphaned in 8+ weeks. P.S. The data was generated solely from koji buildroot, so it might be newer than the latest compose or the content on mirrors. P.P.S. If this bug has been reported in the middle of upgrading multiple dependent packages, please consider using side tags: https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Updates_Policy/#updating-inter-dependent-packages Thanks!
This issue is preventing Rawhide/F36 composes from happening (as seen in https://pagure.io/releng/failed-composes/issue/3014#comment-775005 ; https://pagure.io/releng/failed-composes/issue/3015 ) and thus it qualifies as Automatic Blocker as per https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/QA:SOP_blocker_bug_process#Automatic_blockers : "Bugs which entirely prevent the composition of one or more of the release-blocking images required to be built for a currently-pending (pre-)release" The issue was reported upstream too: https://gitlab.gnome.org/GNOME/gnome-kiosk/-/issues/1 Log from failed dependency resolve during compose: DEBUG util.py:446: 2022-01-15 05:47:43,201: Dependency check failed: DEBUG util.py:446: Problem: conflicting requests DEBUG util.py:446: - package anaconda-install-img-deps-36.14-1.fc36.i686 requires gnome-kiosk, but none of the providers can be installed DEBUG util.py:446: - package anaconda-install-img-deps-36.14-1.fc36.x86_64 requires gnome-kiosk, but none of the providers can be installed DEBUG util.py:446: - nothing provides libmutter-9.so.0 needed by gnome-kiosk-41.0-1.fc36.i686 DEBUG util.py:446: - nothing provides libmutter-clutter-9.so.0 needed by gnome-kiosk-41.0-1.fc36.i686 DEBUG util.py:446: - nothing provides libmutter-9.so.0()(64bit) needed by gnome-kiosk-41.0-1.fc36.x86_64 DEBUG util.py:446: - nothing provides libmutter-clutter-9.so.0()(64bit) needed by gnome-kiosk-41.0-1.fc36.x86_64
I added a patch to build against mutter 42, which built successfully, but I have not tested it further. It should fix the compose issue, at least.
Package is built, Rawhide is building.
