Description of problem: Matthias Clasen pointed out that abattis-cantarell-fonts currently includes both variable and non-variable fonts. This duplication makes it harder for pango to choose the right font for example. We should split the binary package into two and only install the VF one by default. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): abattis-cantarell-fonts-0.301-6 Steps to Reproduce: 1. rpm -ql abattis-cantarell-fonts Actual results: Contains both fixed and variable fonts Expected results: Probably Cantarell-VF.otf should be moved to abattis-cantarell-vf-fonts subpackage and made the default.
That makes sense. I'll take care of that.

I'm not 100% sure it's because of this, but, the kerning on Cantarell sure seems to have gotten a *lot* worse in Rawhide. Attaching some screenshots.
Hmm, no, it's not this, the timeframe doesn't match. It went bad between 20220120.n.1 and 20220123.n.0. I'll try and figure out the cause and file a different bug.
Also unfortunately it seems plymouth still pulls in the non-vf font package.
