CGAL failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81769402 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild Please fix CGAL at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, CGAL will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37, CGAL will be retired, if it still fails to build. Upstream bug (at CGAL): https://github.com/CGAL/cgal/issues/6271 Upstream-Uptream bug (at Boost Multiprecision): https://github.com/boostorg/multiprecision/issues/419
Boost Multiprecision already has a possible fix, at https://github.com/boostorg/multiprecision/pull/421. Now my job is to try that patch with koji, and build CGAL-5.4-beta1 at the same time. My packaging skill are a bit rusty. If anybody knows how to create a scratch build (or whatever) with both: - a patched version of boost, with a patch of my own, - and CGAL-5.4-beta1, then let me know. Meanwhile, I will dig in the documentation of koji...
The compilation error seems to be caused by a compiler bug. See gcc.gnu.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=104239
