libpfm failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81787366 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild Please fix libpfm at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, libpfm will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37, libpfm will be retired, if it still fails to build. I have been able to replicate the issue on a x86_64 rawhide machine.
The issues still exists in the upstream git repository. I sent email describing the problem and proposed a possible patch to address the problem: https://sourceforge.net/p/perfmon2/mailman/perfmon2-devel/thread/cd043334-18bf-213b-4e35-39c63e250720%40redhat.com/#msg37598318
This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle. Changing version to 36.
*** Bug 2098738 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
Backported fix from upstream to the current libpfm in f36 and rawhide.
