Please branch and build python-httpcore in epel9.
If you do not wish to maintain python-httpcore in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS carlwgeorge).
That request depends on the availability of httpcore's requirements.
All of httpcore's run time requirements are now available in the epel9 buildroot, with updates pending to release them to the repos. Once PR#3 is merged, the package should build fine for epel9. I'm still working on the buildrequirements for the tests so we can enable them on epel9 at a later date.
I'm still happy to become a co-maintainer to do the epel9 build myself if you do not have time. Alternatively, you can add the python-sig group to the package and I can request the epel9 branch that way.
