python-steps failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81985824 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild Please fix python-steps at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, python-steps will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37, python-steps will be retired, if it still fails to build. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle. Changing version to 36.
Possibly a C++12 bug, but not currently clear. See: https://www.mail-archive.com/devel%40lists.fedoraproject.org/msg175829.html

Hello, This is the first reminder (step 3 from https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/fesco/Fails_to_build_from_source_Fails_to_install/#_package_removal_for_long_standing_ftbfs_and_fti_bugs). If you know about this problem and are planning on fixing it, please acknowledge so by setting the bug status to ASSIGNED. If you don't have time to maintain this package, consider orphaning it, so maintainers of dependent packages realize the problem.
PR submitted. Would you have a look at this? https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-steps/pull-request/3
Thanks Mamoru. I merged the PR and will push a build now. I expect we should send the patch upstream too? Would you be able to give a short summary of the patch that we can also give to upstream please? Cheers,
