xmlrpc-c failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f36 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=81987707 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_36_Mass_Rebuild Please fix xmlrpc-c at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, xmlrpc-c will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 37, xmlrpc-c will be retired, if it still fails to build. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora 36 development cycle. Changing version to 36.
From a build.log: lib/libutil/meson.build:35:5: ERROR: Got unknown keyword arguments "install" A full log can be found at /builddir/build/BUILD/xmlrpc-c-1.51.0/redhat-linux-build/meson-logs/meson-log.txt RPM build warnings: RPM build errors: error: Bad exit status from /var/tmp/rpm-tmp.rAbVXB (%build)
Posted a PR: https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/xmlrpc-c/pull-request/1 But after this, *PLEASE* consider either updating and getting this meson build merged upstream, or drop it and use upstream's build system, so that this no longer blocks version updates. This package is way behind upstream, which does not go with Fedora's "First" principle.
