This ticket is working as expected. crio will create a log for the container based on the restartCount. Since the container is failing to start the log is created with an increasing number.

After more analysis, this is a long standing bug... We are going to fix it over in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2072957
