I encountered MIMEdefang crashing in production in MIMEdefang 2.85 in CentOS Stream 8. I researched the root cause and submitted a bug report to the MIMEdefang maintainers with a suggested fix: https://github.com/The-McGrail-Foundation/MIMEDefang/issues/54 They've already fixed it a different way in MIMEdefang 2.86. You could upgrade the RPM to 2.86, or you could just take the fix: https://github.com/The-McGrail-Foundation/MIMEDefang/commit/456aeb107d5bb8fd56cc440cb10adccc65bb55d2
