Description of problem: There is no build of python-Rtree for RHEL 8. Please branch and build python-Rtree for EPEL 8. Additional info: The dependencies for building this package are already met, and the current rawhide branch builds successfully against EPEL 8. If testing and/or maintenance is a concern, please consider adding me (cottsay) as an EPEL-only co-maintainer of this package. Scratch build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=82825740 Another note: my scratch build against s390x failed two of the tests, but the x86_64 build succeeded. There may be an endianness bug in Rtree or one of its dependencies.
Any objections, Mukundan? It’s always nice to have an EPEL co-maintainer. I would be willing to help take care of EPEL too. I want to look into the s390x issue, so I’m setting NEEDINFO on myself too.
None at all. I always welcome co-maintainers. When pushing anything other than minor bumps or security issues, please use PRs for discussion and to avoid clashes. I will add cottsay as a co-maintainer.

Thank you both. I have requested the new branch. I'll fast-forward it even with rawhide for the initial build, and I'll use PRs as requested for future updates. Thanks again!
