Note: This bug is displayed in read-only format because
the product is no longer active in Red Hat Bugzilla.
Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.
After enabling the Red Hat web console feature in Satellite 7.0, the redesigned Host page does not offers any option to connect to the Web\Cockpit Console of the client system
Description of problem:
After enabling the Red Hat web console feature in Satellite 7.0, the redesigned Host page does not offer any option to connect to the Web\Cockpit Console of the client system but switching back to the old view, gives the "Web Console" button to do so.
Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Satellite 7.0 (Snap 10) [ RHEL 8]
How reproducible:
Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install and Configure a Satellite 7.0 with some content synced.
2. Register an RHEL 7 system with Satellite 7.0 that has a cockpit installed and enabled. Use the global registration method so that REX keys are shared as a part of the process.
3. Run "satellite-installer --enable-foreman-plugin-remote-execution-cockpit" in satellite
4. Go to Hosts --> All Hosts --> Click open the RHEl 7 host
Actual results:
On the Redesigned page,
* there is no option to connect to the cockpit console of the host.
* In the kebab dropdown beside the Edit button, we see a Console option but that is Grayed Out.
Now, Switch to the Previous version or Go back to Legacy UI for the same host and a "Web Console" button will be visible and available to use as well to connect to cockpit console of the RHEL 7 client system.
Expected results:
The redesigned view should not have a "Grayed Out" Console option or it needs to have a working "Web Console" or "Cockpit Console" button providing the same functionality as the old\Legacy view of the page.

Hi, I verified that with sat 6.11 snap 16, I am able to open the Cockpit from the new host UI.
Tried with a satellite, and RHEL host.
The difference between the new and old host UI, the new host UI does not open the Cockpit in new browser tab.
in BZ #1818813, that was not fixed, in comment two, there is a mention that cockpit opens in new tab. Such information basically resolves the problem with navigation back from the cockpit to satellite.
So please let's keep the open cockpit in the new tab.
I am open to put this BZ to Verified, but I would rather see the fix here. Afraid that RFE open cockpit in new tab even with regression marker will never be resolved.
For that reason FailedQA.
Since the problem described in this bug report should be
resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a
resolution of ERRATA.
