Description of problem: New hosts page on Satellite 7.0 doesn't have an option to view the Global Parameters and Host parameters Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): Satellite 7.0 beta How reproducible: 100% Steps to Reproduce: 1. Install Satellite 7 2. Navigate to Hosts > All Hosts > Click on any Host 3. No tab or section that shows the Global and Host parameters Actual results: Global and Host parameters are not visible on the new Hosts UI Expected results: Global and Hosts parameters are really useful and should be available on the new UI as well Additional info:
Hi, how exactly do I display Global Parameters and Host parameters on old host detail page? Because I don't see anything like that there.
Hello, I added an attachment from a Satellite 6.10 server (it is almost same in older versions as well). Hosts > Edit Host > navigate to Parameters tab.
Hi, new host UI feature is not for editing the host, but for showing the detail of the host. "Old" edit host page is same as before.
Hello, Seems, there is some confusion about the original request. Let me explain here Parameters info (all the parameters listed in the old host page) for a host is useful while troubleshooting something about a host. This provides some of the useful info if there any over-rides set at a Host Group level or a host level or inherited from other place. So, having this on the new host would really help, not for editing though just to show/display the info would be helpful.
Hi, thanks, now I understand. I agree that it would be helpful, I'll add it to our backlog. I would also suggest to change the BZ to RFE since it's a new feature.
