Description masanari iida 2006-09-08 15:31:30 UTC
Description of problem:
vgchange man doesn't explain "--addtag" and "--deltag".

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
lvm2-2.02.06-3

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. $ man vgchange

Actual results:
--addtag and --deltag are not explained in the man.

Expected results:
--addtag and --deltag should be explained in the man.

Additional info1:
vgchange man in debian has these entries.
http://manpages.debian.net/cgi-bin/display_man.cgi?id=83cd72f962f84cc300810da0ad3b446c&format=html

Additional info2:
FC5 should include a document about tag. Following doc is a
good example of how to use the tag. I want RH to add something
like this in /usr/share/doc/lvm2-(version) directory.
http://www.davideous.com/tmp/LVM2.2.01.15/doc/tagging.txt

These enhancement(s) should be also included in RHEL5.

OPTIONS
       See lvm for common options.

Options listed in the synopsis that do not have separate entries are described
on the lvm(8) man page.

This will not change (there is too much maintenance overhead otherwise) until
there is time to change the way man pages are created so they are all generated
from a single document.
