Description of problem: upstream iPXE supports AArch64, the Fedora and RHEL builds do not build them. We have some use cases in OpenShift that will need iPXE for UEFI, use in QEMU and on baremetal should both work.

Bare metal IPI is designed around ipxe.

This is discussed at length in bug 2059350, through which a backport was accepted into 8.6. Can we please proceed with the Fedora PR?
Merged and built now. But fedora still has ipxe.efi. Any objections to ripping it out until there's a defined need? From the bug it sounds like all you need is snponly
