RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Richard W.M. Jones 2022-02-28 16:29:59 UTC
Description of problem:

This is a request to rebase guestfs-tools to the latest
upstream stable release in RHEL 9.1.

The upstream release will be 1.48. It has not been
released upstream yet.

"Add a new default operation called keyfiles which removes NetworkManager connection profiles"

The operation is called "net-nmconn":

> net-nmconn * Remove system-local NetworkManager connection profiles (keyfiles)

The thing for which "keyfile" is an alternate name is the "NetworkManager connection profile" <https://developer-old.gnome.org/NetworkManager/stable/nm-settings-keyfile.html>.

Comment 4 Richard W.M. Jones 2022-03-10 09:44:10 UTC

Comment 5 Richard W.M. Jones 2022-03-14 17:50:46 UTC
guestfs-tools 1.48 release was today. Final release notes are available
at the same URL as above.

Comment 6 YongkuiGuo 2022-03-16 02:04:05 UTC
Set Verified flag to 'Tested' since the gating tests have passed. Will start comprehensive testing once the fixed package is involved in RHEL9.1 nightly compose.

Comment 9 YongkuiGuo 2022-08-16 07:44:12 UTC
Verified this bug since no issue is found in the latest RHEL9.1 nightly compose test.

The test run: https://polarion.engineering.redhat.com/polarion/#/project/RHELVIRT/testrun?id=libguestfs-1_48_4-2_el9%20RHEL-9_1_0-20220813_0%20x86_64%202022-08-13%2009-44-12
