Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Comment 1 Brad Buckingham 2022-03-03 19:01:37 UTC
Is it correct that in Satellite 6.10 a user with "view_hosts" is not able to view hosts from Hosts -> All Hosts -> [host] ?

Comment 2 tstrych 2022-03-04 15:12:02 UTC
Thanks for the question, Brad.
I made a mistake, this BZ is a regression.
In 6.10.3 it is possible to view hosts from Hosts -> All Hosts -> [host] ?

Comment 5 Marek Hulan 2022-05-06 09:13:04 UTC
this is no longer an issue with recent snaps, old UI is enabled by default and user can switch between (tested with the user that has viewer role), moving to ON_QE to recheck and close

Comment 6 sganar 2022-05-16 08:02:38 UTC
Verified.

Tested on Satellite 6.11.0 Snap 20.0

Steps followed:
1. Create new user, add view_hosts role
2. Log in as new user

Observation:
User can switch to new Host UI if needed, old host UI is enabled by default
