Please do not update this package without coordinating with other pyo3 packages, and with python-cryptography.

Comment 10 Fabio Valentini 2022-11-10 23:31:08 UTC
You need pyo3 v0.17 for matrix-synapse? I'll try to make that available soon.
Are there any other Rust dependencies you need, or is the rest already covered by what's in Fedora (and up-to-date?)

Comment 11 Lumír Balhar 2023-01-17 11:08:49 UTC
I have a package that needs pyo3 v0.16.5 so if you gonna update it to 0.17 I can prepare a compat package for 0.16 in the meantime.

Comment 12 Fabio Valentini 2023-01-17 12:59:17 UTC
I need to prepare compat packages for 0.15 either way, so I can do compat packages for 0.16 at the same time.
I think with 0.16 or 0.17 there are new pyo3 components / dependencies, so I would appreciate package reviews once I have filed them.

Comment 14 Fabio Valentini 2023-01-29 01:56:43 UTC
pyo3 0.17 is now available:
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-dc22c5d088
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-1ba8d44f82
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-45aa1da73f

I'll mark the matrix-synapse update and the pyo3-log review request as no longer blocked.

Let's hope nothing will require pyo3 0.18 for a while ... I don't want to go through this thing *again* :D
