Red Hat Bugzilla 2059858 1 unspecified CLOSED .package_note-*.ld file clutters build directory, breaking Perl tests 2022-09-05 14:00:22 UTC

Description Petr Pisar 2022-03-10 11:08:30 UTC
perl-Scalar-Properties-1.100860-30.fc37 fails to build locally in Fedora 37 because a test fails:

t/release-check-changes.t .... ok
# Distribution files are missing in MANIFEST:
# .package_note-perl-Scalar-Properties-1.100860-30.fc37.x86_64.ld

# Failed test 'All files are listed in MANIFEST or skipped'
# at t/release-dist-manifest.t line 16.
# Looks like you failed 1 test of 4.
t/release-dist-manifest.t ....
Dubious, test returned 1 (wstat 256, 0x100)
Failed 1/4 subtests

This is triggered by <https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/Package_information_on_ELF_objects>. A possible fix is disabling the change with "%undefine _package_note_file".
