Description Thureen Khan 2006-09-14 22:46:44 UTC
Fedora Core should include a wireless network GUI that you in windows to handle
connection to wireless networks. Using the command line to configure for each
new network you want to use takes too long. Configurating and connecting to
wireless networks has been biggest problem for me to use FC on my Laptop, I am
sure this is case with other users. I think a lot of newbie users has yes even
figure out to connect to wireless network using command line.

Features for the GUI should include the ability:
To scan for networks and pick one you want to connect
Enter WEP/WPA key for network
Store the profile for the network for later use

It probably fine just to leave installation of the required drives to using the
command line and manually to do, though it would be great if the GUI could do so.
