G2Bsync 1079031935 comment KevinFCormier Fri, 25 Mar 2022 13:32:04 UTC G2Bsync This is similar to how we show the Channels for the ACM components themselves: <img width="1567" alt="image" src="https://user-images.githubusercontent.com/42188127/160128207-35078e6f-15a7-463a-adbf-78fdbc052bc4.png"> I do not agree with hiding information from the user. Links may not be available from the user's browser for a variety of reasons, but it is still useful to show the user what the repository URL actually is. The idea you are proposing was discussed in this issue: https://github.com/stolostron/backlog/issues/19248 I pointed out that there were already warnings in place for any policy that is deployed via Git or Helm, and I did not receive any indication that this was not sufficient. You can open a Jira item for enhancement if you want to propose that we should be able to mark certain repository URLs as not customer visible, or if we should be able to mark policies, or at a lower level subscriptions or channels, that come from the "System". We should have input from @birsanv on that as well. But for the moment, the URL is correct and the UI is designed to show the URL.

Hey there i can see your post and i have some suggestion for you If you are trying to open a Helm chart source link related to a backup-restore-enabled policy and encountering issues, it's essential to check the specific context in which you are attempting to access the link. Here are some possible scenarios and troubleshooting steps: Using Helm from Command Line: If you are trying to access the Helm chart source link from the command line, ensure that the link is valid and correctly typed in the terminal. Verify that you have internet connectivity to access external URLs. Using a Helm Chart Repository: Helm charts are typically stored in repositories. Ensure that the Helm chart repository you are using is accessible and that the chart with the backup-restore-enabled policy exists in that repository. Web Browser Issue: If you are trying to access the link from a web browser, make sure the link is correctly formatted with the appropriate protocol (e.g., https://). Clear your browser cache and try opening the link in an incognito or private browsing window. Check for Typos or Permissions: Double-check the link for any typos or errors. Also, ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access the source https://www.tellhappystar.org/ link. Contact the Source: If the link is not working and you believe it should be accessible, reach out to the source or the creator of the Helm chart to inquire about the issue.
