Description of problem: We need to import the updates to annobin, gcc and redhat-rpm-config that are in RHEL-9 and which prevent the annobin plugin from becoming out-of-sync with respect to the version of gcc in the buildroot. This is the annobin component of that update. To Do: Update the annobin.spec file so that it creates a plugin version file. Update the annobin.spec file so that it stores the annobin sources as part of the installation of the annobin rpm.
Fixed in annobin-10.58-1.el8 Note for QE: The annobin version file should be installed as: /usr/lib/gcc/x86_64-redhat-linux/8/plugin/annobin-plugin-version-info It is a text file, so you should be able to read its contents. The annobin sources should be installed as: /usr/src/annobin/latest-annobin.tar.xz This is a compressed tarball, but again the contents should be easily readable.
Nick, thanks for the hints! Pre-verified: annobin-10.58-1.el8
