Please branch and build luajit in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain luajit in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/luajit/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches. I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: salimma).

I thought that if a package is in rhel, you are not allowed to package it in epel.

per @carl in the EPEL Steering Committee meeting: https://meetbot.fedoraproject.org/fedora-meeting/2022-03-30/epel.2022-03-30-20.00.log.html at 20:56:19 -- if the package is built in CentOS Stream but none of the subpackages are published in any repo, it is still eligible for EPEL and `fedpkg request-branch` will fail if the package is not eligible anyway (I'm going to look at the code to see if we can add a dry-run mode so it can be used to check without actually creating a ticket)

As I noted I'm more than happy to co-maintain and so is the EPEL Packagers SIG, but we do need to be added to the ACL https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/luajit/adduser for salimma https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/luajit/addgroup for epel-packagers-sig Could you add us? also cc the other package admins
