Please branch and build lua-compat53 in epel9. If you do not wish to maintain lua-compat53 in epel9, or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner, the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package; please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/lua-compat53/addgroup and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches. I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: salimma).
Koji scratch build: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=84613481
I've added you as an admin of the package and granted commit rights to the epel-packagers-sig group. Feel free to go ahead and maintain the package in EPEL9.
Thanks! Just got round to it now, as another dependency for neovim (which I ultimately want to build) was missing until recently. ❯ fedpkg request-branch epel9 https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/43765
