I saw this bug get filed and, since I was in the middle of updating sagemath anyway, I figured it would be good to have this update as part of that (since sagemath is the only consumer of gp2c). I've got to finish retiring from these packages so I stop making goofs like this. It's all yours now. Really.
No harm done! I’m impressed you beat me to it. In general, feel free to (intentionally) commit simple/uncontroversial changes or updates directly to any of my packages on which you are a co-maintainer. For bigger stuff a PR is best, of course. On the other hand, you can typically expect me to respond to PR’s and bugzillas pretty quickly.
