Please branch and build python-cairocffi in epel9.

Would you mind adding a note which application requires cairocffi which you would like to see in EPEL9? cairocffi on its own is probably not that useful. Are you looking for WeasyPrint?

Comment 2 Navneet 2022-04-06 12:15:56 UTC
Yes, I was looking at python-weasyprint in fc34(https://fedora.pkgs.org/34/fedora-updates-testing-x86_64/python3-weasyprint-52.4-2.fc34.noarch.rpm.html) and see that it requires pyphen.
I don't see weasyprint in epel9. Therefore opened https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2072500.
Yes, basically we need WeasyPrint.

Comment 3 Felix Schwarz 2022-08-30 14:30:00 UTC
Just fyi: cairocffi is not required for WeasyPrint (since v53 or so).

Comment 4 Orion Poplawski 2023-01-15 03:01:40 UTC
Seems to be needed for python-cairosvg. Could this be built please? Thanks.

Comment 5 Felix Schwarz 2023-01-15 14:50:54 UTC
Hi Orian, I think you can/have to do it yourself. Eric seems to be busy with other stuff (no Fedora activity in the last year) and I removed myself from python-cairocffi as WeasyPrint does not use it anymore. However you are listed as admin for this package :-)

Comment 6 Orion Poplawski 2023-01-16 00:45:13 UTC
Ah, excellent. Thanks for noticing that :)
