Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Evgeni Golov 2022-04-08 08:06:08 UTC
Description of problem:
Ohai,

when trying to publish a CV from the overview page (https://satellite.example.com/content_views), the "publish" button doesn't do anything.

Other buttons (Copy, Delete) trigger the right action (or rather a dialog how to proceed)

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
rubygem-katello-4.3.0.12-1.el8sat.noarch

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go go /convent_views
2. press the three dots next to a CV
3. press publish

Actual results:
brief "loading" screen and back to the overview

Expected results:
the publishing wizard opens

Additional info:

Comment 1 Evgeni Golov 2022-04-08 08:08:49 UTC

Comment 3 Evgeni Golov 2022-04-12 09:35:53 UTC
this seems to work fine on an upstream Katello 4.4 build, don't have a 4.3 at hand to diff against.

Comment 4 Griffin Sullivan 2022-04-29 19:10:13 UTC
Verified in 6.11 snap 18.5 on RHEL 7

Publish works from content view main / listing page.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Create a CV

2. Go to Content > Content Views

3. Click the 3 dots on the right of your CV

4. In the dialog click publish

Expected Results:
Dialog opens and publish works successfully.

Actual Results:
Dialog opens and publish works successfully.
