The above patch fixes the oriya bugs for Pango-1.14.4. The version in the bug description should also have been 1.14.4.
Thanks for the patch Rahul, reassign to Behdad to include into FC6 package.
I don't think this is a blocker
IMHO, a huge bug for Oriya user - this bug will lean to large amount of character compositions failed for Oriya users on *any* GNOME applications, which is our new official language for FC6. Patch is available. Please reconsider this decision.
Well, not my fault that this has not been committed so far. There's no upstream for it. Created: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=361977
Ah, in fact I fixed this in pango 1.14.5 last week. It was filed as: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=356685 It really really really really helps if you guys keep bugs assigned to pango/me minimal and not duplicate one for RHEL, another for Fedora, another as a tracker, and many of them not being linked to upstream... Anyway, this will be fixed when we push pango 1.14.6 as an update.
The pango of redhat cvs has already been 1.14.6 . This bug can be closed.
pango-1.14.6-2.fc6 has been pushed for fc6, which should resolve this issue. If these problems are still present in this version, then please make note of it in this bug report.
