https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Changes/OstreeNativeContainer is an accepted change for Fedora 36. What we have in the current version is OK, the features work. However, rpm-ostree 2022.8 has support for "new format" chunked container images https://github.com/ostreedev/ostree-rs-ext/issues/69 Which makes using container images for operating system updates *much* *much* nicer. Because so many people perform updates from the "gold media" of a stable release, it'd be helpful to have the new code in F36 so that they can directly consume new-format images instead of needing to do an update to the likely "day 0" update first.
