Note: In the step 2, you need delete input metrics by keyboard.

Comment 4 Tai Gao 2022-04-26 07:07:33 UTC
Another similar bug situation:

Sometimes you manually delete the metrics via the keyboard, the search box seems to keep the first letter.

In my case, I typed `rate` then delete them via keyboard. Click drop box and select `ALERTS`,then search box displayed as `ALERTSr`

Comment 5 Gabriel Bernal 2022-04-26 09:01:45 UTC
The UX issues were solved in https://github.com/openshift/console/pull/11143

Comment 6 Tai Gao 2022-04-27 02:21:06 UTC
test process:
1.# launch openshift/console#11143
2.Open admin console, navigate to Observe->Metrics
3.Input `ALERTS` then delete them via keyboard
4.click drop box and select `ALERTS_FOR_STATE`, press Enter

`ALERTS_FOR_STATE` displayed in the search box as expected

5.Input `cluster` to the search box

these suggestions can be selected using the keyboard arrows + enter

6.Input `rate(http_requests_total)` to the search box
