Description Richard W.M. Jones 2022-05-02 11:17:40 UTC
Description of problem:

This patch was accepted upstream:
https://github.com/livecd-tools/livecd-tools/pull/227

Because we wish to use livecd-tools to build virt-p2v in Fedora 35+
I'd like to backport this fix. (I can do the backporting work,
this bug is more about settling if anyone objects to doing this).

I guess this change could be invasive - are there projects
that rely on the lazy unmounting behaviour?

Note the related dnf fix is now available in Fedora 35+:

This fix is part of livecd-tools-30.0 already?

Oh so it is, thanks!

Sorry, I'm responsible for generating the noise here... I'd known that upstream 30.0 contained the fix; what I did not notice was that a new Fedora package (for F35 even) was in progress. Before I talked to Rich, I ran "dnf update" in my F35 install, and livecd-tools-30 was not available in the Updates repositories then (only 28.3-4.fc35 was).

I'll check out the Bodhi link now though. Thanks!
