Description of problem: Please branch and build python-semantic_version in epel9.
*** Bug 2128213 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. ***
I’m investigating whether it is possible to produce a python-setuptools-rust package for EPEL9 that could actually be used to build packages – specifically, maturin. (See https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2173215#c11.) Any python-setuptools-rust package in EPEL9 would require python3-semantic-version to be either branched for EPEL9 (allowable since it is currently buildroot-only in CentOS 9), or moved to CRB for EL9. By either of the above means, will you provide a python-semantic_version package for use in EPEL9? If you aren’t planning to move this package to CRB, I’m willing to maintain or co-maintain the package in EPEL.
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.
I added you as an EPEL owner and co-admin.
