There is a useful Note in the current docs (Upgrade and Install), but does not make much sense as is with the SP1 changes: Current: ~~~ Starting with RHEL 8.4, only one Advanced Virtualization stream is used, rhel:av. ~~~ Proposed change, add to the above say something about the switch to virt:rhel as well in RHEL 8.6/SP1. ~~~ With SP1 and the switch to RHEL 8.6, virt:rhel will be the single stream. ~~~ Ref: #2023250, bz#2036835 Docs: https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_virtualization/4.4/html-single/upgrade_guide/index#Manually_Updating_Hosts_minor_updates https://access.redhat.com/documentation/en-us/red_hat_virtualization/4.4/html-single/installing_red_hat_virtualization_as_a_self-hosted_engine_using_the_command_line/index#Enabling_the_Red_Hat_Enterprise_Linux_Host_Repositories_SHE_deployment_host
Eli, can you please check this out?
The note was already updated in https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2036835 I think we can close this as done
Here is what is in the updated note: Note : Starting with {enterprise-linux-shortname} 8.6 the Advanced virtualization packages will use the standard virt:rhel module. For {enterprise-linux-shortname} 8.4 and 8.5, only one Advanced Virtualization stream is used, rhel:av.
Thanks!
