Description Udi Kalifon 2022-05-10 08:34:44 UTC
Description of problem:
There is no way to change the managementState of a special resource to Unmanaged/Removed/Force. The relevant upstream and downstream PRs to enable this functionality are merged:
https://github.com/openshift-psap/special-resource-operator/pull/83
https://github.com/openshift/special-resource-operator/pull/120

However, I don't see a managementState in the SRs. The downstream PR is for OCP 4.11 and up...

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
OCP 4.10

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Deploy a simple-kmod
2. Edit the CR to see if you can change the managementState

Actual results:
No managementState field

Expected results:
managementState should be supported

Comment 5 Udi Kalifon 2022-05-31 13:03:56 UTC
Checked in 4.10.16 and there is still no managementState field. Re-open.

Comment 6 Brett Thurber 2022-06-21 21:03:02 UTC
@pablo, any updates on this for 4.10?
