This package is being added to RHEL 8.7 at the next minor release. Please remove it from epel after the next RHEL minor release.

Hello Mark Huth ... do I understand that right you are the new packager of yara for RHEL8/9?
Is it the right time to remove the package from EPEL?
Having access to some RHEL8 box I have tried to install the yara from the upstream, but I failed and was not able to install it.
Please how do I check where/whether the package is already there and in what version?

yara has not been released in RHEL 8 yet.
Looking at the second comment it says it will come out with RHEL 8.7.
RHEL 8.7 will come out 6 months after RHEL 8.6, so sometime in November.

Thank you for taking this seriously, but please wait a little longer before removing yara.

RHEL-8.7 has been released on the 9th of November and I can see yara in the `rhel-8-for-x86_64-appstream-rpms` repo.
