Description Oliver A. 2022-05-28 07:11:55 UTC
Description of problem:
Krita 5.0 builds in Fedora do not properly open WebP images.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
krita-5.0.0-2.fc36
krita-5.0.2-2.fc37

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Drop a WebP format image into Krita.

Actual results:
(krita-5.0.0-2.fc36) Error message appears: "Krita does not support this file format."
(krita-5.0.2-2.fc37) Error message appears: "The file format cannot be parsed."

Expected results:
To load the image. Ideally with the new plugin.

Additional info:
Krita 5.0 includes a new plugin for WebP handling (https://invent.kde.org/graphics/krita/-/merge_requests/891)
Krita 5.0.2 is supposed to use QImageIO as a fallback (https://krita.org/en/item/krita-5-0-2/)
