/etc/rancid/rancid.conf has "BASEDIR=/var", but shouldn't that be /var/rancid?
Also LOGDIR is set to $BASEDIR/logs instead of /var/log. Haven't looked at the package, but guessing these are supposed to be tweaked from the spec file, maybe something got missed?
