Is this package still useful and trustworthy? Last commit upstream (a minor one) was in 2019, while other major code change/development was at least 9 years ago.

I've taken maintainership of this package just to prevent it to be retired (at that time it was required somewhere in Fedora infrastructure). I would rather investigate if it is still needed by Fedora infra, otherwise I'd like to let it die.

We no longer use this in fedora infra since the switch to the new account system/ipa.

I'm using pam_url to talk to a backend service where using a full blown account system would be hilarioulsy overkill.

The package isn't really complicated, it's a small wrapper around libcurl which does all the really hard work, and it does everything it needs to do. As long as it builds..

Are you a packager? I can give the package maintainership to you, if you're willing to maintain it.
Otherwise I'll try to build and release in epel9, but after that I'll orphan it and let it die.

Let me know.
