Description Troy Dawson 2022-06-07 21:12:59 UTC
Please branch and build python-werkzeug in epel9.

If you do not wish to maintain python-werkzeug in epel9,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package on epel;
Please add the epel-packagers-sig group through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-werkzeug/addgroup

I also wouldn't mind being a co-maintainer of the package. (FES: tdawson)
Please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-werkzeug/adduser

There is a Stalled Package request for this.
https://pagure.io/releng/issue/10863
It is currently 6 days old.
Once that is done, this can progress.

Comment 3 František Zatloukal 2022-07-07 09:11:05 UTC
For this package specifically, I think it'd be great to get https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/python-werkzeug/pull-request/9# merged first so you can avoid compat break in el once the package is imported?

Comment 4 Fedora Update System 2022-07-26 20:25:33 UTC
FEDORA-EPEL-2022-a5880aa7d5 has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 9. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2022-a5880aa7d5

Comment 5 Troy Dawson 2022-07-26 20:30:11 UTC
Due to missing dependencies, this package was built without docs or tests.
Those will be added after they make it into epel9.

Comment 6 Fedora Update System 2022-07-27 03:22:35 UTC
FEDORA-EPEL-2022-a5880aa7d5 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 9 testing repository.

Comment 7 Troy Dawson 2022-07-29 13:42:53 UTC
The package has been updated to python-werkzeug-2.2.1
Since the doc and testing dependencies are not yet in epel9, it again has been built without them.
