.Wayland is now enabled with Matrox GPUs
The desktop session now enables the Wayland back end with Matrox GPUs.
In previous releases, Wayland was disabled with Matrox GPUs due to performance and other limitations. These problems have now been fixed.
You can still switch the desktop session from Wayland back to Xorg. with updated gdm-40.1-16.el9 wayland is available on matrox and aspeed equipped systems this isn't working on aspeed. See bug 2128599 We should force Xorg for aspeed in 9.1 Moving back to ASSIGNED. Since the problem described in this bug report should be resolved in a recent advisory, it has been closed with a resolution of ERRATA.
