Muffin doesn't work by itself unless you install the cinnamon package (?) - not sure it's the only required package. Please add a hard dependency to make muffin work. Steps to reproduce: Install just muffin, nothing else from cinnamon: # dnf install muffin $ muffin --replace (muffin:646387): GLib-GIO-ERROR **: 17:39:16.171: Settings schema 'org.cinnamon' is not installed Trace/breakpoint trap (core dumped)
muffin binary isn't meant to be used as standalone in cinnamon or any other DE.
`dnf install muffin` perfectly works and results in an application which is broken. You need to add a dependency. This is a valid bug.

That is a dumb idea and would make it almost impossible to update cinnamon. Building cinnamon would require installing cinnamon to satisfy the muffin Requires: cinnamon
