This bug has been migrated to another issue tracking site. It has been closed here and may no longer be being monitored.

If you would like to get updates for this issue, or to participate in it, you may do so at Red Hat Issue Tracker .
RHEL Engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on RHEL 6 through RHEL 9 to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs in the statuses "NEW", "ASSIGNED", and "POST" are being migrated throughout September 2023. Bugs of Red Hat partners with an assigned Engineering Partner Manager (EPM) are migrated in late September as per pre-agreed dates. Bugs against components "kernel", "kernel-rt", and "kpatch" are only migrated if still in "NEW" or "ASSIGNED". If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "RHEL project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/RHEL-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Description Vilém Maršík 2022-06-30 22:24:21 UTC
Description of problem:
Following bluez commands have no manpage: avinfo, bluemoon, bluetoothctl, btmgmt, btmon, hex2hcd, l2test, mpris-proxy

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
bluez-5.56-8.el9.x86_64

How reproducible:
100%

Steps to Reproduce:
1. man avinfo
2. man bluemoon
3. man bluetoothctl
4. man btmgmt
5. man btmon
6. man hex2hcd
7. man l2test
8. man mpris-proxy

Actual results:
8x No manual entry for bluetoothctl

Expected results:
Manual page exists, e.g. formatted output of "$COMMAND --help", though these sometimes do not inform what the utility is good for.

Additional info:
Probably an upstream bug.
Same with RHEL-8.7, should I clone the bugreport?

Yeah, I think this is still missing in fedora as well.

Thanks

This bug is scheduled for migration to Jira. When that happens, this bugzilla issue will be permanently closed with the status MIGRATED and all future interaction on this issue will need to happen in the Jira issue. The new issue will be part of the RHEL project (a project for Jira only issues, which will sync once, then close the bugzilla issue and all future updates will happen in Jira), not part of the RHELPLAN project (which is part of the automated bugzilla->Jira mirroring and which allows ongoing updates to the bugzilla bug and syncs those updates over to Jira).

For making sure you have access to Jira in order to continue accessing this issue, follow one of the appropriate knowledge base articles:

Comment 4 RHEL Program Management 2023-08-31 16:33:44 UTC
Issue migration from Bugzilla to Jira is in process at this time. This will be the last message in Jira copied from the Bugzilla bug.
