Description Miloš Prchlík 2022-07-01 10:35:53 UTC
Please branch and build python-pint in epel8.

Pint is the library of choice in the existing implementation of HW requirements in the Artemis project [1], and this implementation is being moved to TMT, to support HW requirements with more provisioning plugins out of the box. Artemis is not packaged in RPMs, but TMT is, therefore to support this feature in TMT, a Pint RPM package is needed.

Comment 1 Matthias Runge 2022-07-04 10:03:51 UTC
I have no interest nor time to support this in epel. I would be more than happy to hand the package over to someone to give it a little more love.

Comment 2 Lukáš Zachar 2022-08-05 08:38:00 UTC
Hi Matthias, I'd like to own this package in EPEL (same for bug 2103054) as I co-package tmt which will require it in the future.
My fedora account is 'lzachar'. What are the necessary steps? I'm in packager,fedora-contributor groups and have Fedora Project Contributor Agreement signed.

Comment 3 Matthias Runge 2022-08-09 06:19:36 UTC
Hi Lukáš, thank you for stepping up!
I've added you to the package and you should be able to do whatever is necessary.

Comment 4 Fedora Admin user for bugzilla script actions 2022-08-09 13:17:47 UTC
This package has changed maintainer in Fedora. Reassigning to the new maintainer of this component.

Comment 5 Lukáš Zachar 2022-08-09 15:10:46 UTC
Thanks Matthias, I'll slowly create epel packages...

Comment 6 Lukáš Zachar 2024-12-04 16:36:49 UTC
Hm, I completely forgot about this bug and in the mean time tmt, for which we wanted this dependency, stopped supporting EPEL-8 as the host platform.

Thus I'm closing this bug.
