Description alex 2022-07-14 17:06:23 UTC
Description of problem:

The default configuration of emacs for YAML files is not very usable; the standard of 8-wide tab stops doesn't work well with YAML.

emacs-yaml-mode automatically solves the problem, but it's not available for EL 9.

How reproducible:

Edit or create a YAML file.

Steps to Reproduce:

1. Type anything that requires indentation in YAML.

Actual results:

You need to finagle stuff to get correct/normal YAML.

Expected results:

Can edit YAML mode without excessive work.
