Description Rik Theys 2022-07-18 17:00:20 UTC
Description of problem:

Would it be possible to provide an epel9 package of msmtp, similar to the epel8 package?

Comment 1 Olivier Stalder 2022-07-28 05:30:59 UTC
Could you please provide msmtp on epel 9 ?

Comment 2 Jonathan Wright 2022-08-12 20:45:25 UTC
Please branch and build msmtp in epel9.

If you do not wish to maintain msmtp in epel9,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
I would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package (FAS jonathanspw);
please add me through https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/msmtp/adduser

Comment 3 Jonathan Wright 2022-09-08 19:49:38 UTC
Please branch and build msmtp in epel9.

If you do not wish to maintain msmtp in epel9,
or do not think you will be able to do this in a timely manner,
the EPEL Packagers SIG would be happy to be a co-maintainer of the package;
please add the epel-packagers-sig group through
https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/msmtp/addgroup
and grant it commit access, or collaborator access on epel* branches.

I would also be happy to be a co-maintainer (FAS: jonathanspw).

I can be the primary contact for EPEL (FAS: jonathanspw).

Comment 4 Niels de Vos 2022-09-21 07:47:56 UTC
I have just added the epel-packagers-sig group with commit access to the "epel*" branches. This allows you to package msmtp for Epel 9.

As I am not very active in the packaging of msmtp, I do feel comfortable adding other co-maintainers, that is something I'd rather see done by one of the other (more active) maintainers.
