Description Flavio Piccioni 2022-07-20 10:45:49 UTC
Description of problem:
Hi,
due to port binding issues that seems related to BZ#1931301, customer can't live migrate instances.
We already warn customer about the need to update their platform as soon as possibile as the root cause seems to be fixed from 16.1.7 (BZ#1955031).
My question is: as the bugs contributes to create garbage data inside db tables, and the upgrade process is not going to clean those entries, how can we manually fix them?

I'm going to add some data in following comments

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
Openstack 16.1.1

How reproducible:
Try to live-migrate an instance

Actual results:
Migration fail due to port-bindings related errors, garbage entries created inside ovs_neutron db tables

Expected results:
Migrations to work properly
