Description of problem: Please branch and build epson-inkjet-printer-escpr and epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 in epel9 This will resolve the need for redhat-lsb at least for Epson printers. I was first trying to get the RPM package, which is provided by Epson, working on EL9 (needs like 25 packages built to get working) But then I noticed that if the latest version of the Fedora package gets rebuilt for EL9, it just works without any further dependencies. Thank you!
Will you be able to branch and build epson-inkjet-printer-escpr and epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 in epel9? Just noticed that this is still open.
Comaintainers are welcome.
Susi - you can add be to epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 as well. I've requested a branch for epson-inkjet-printer-escpr - https://pagure.io/releng/fedora-scm-requests/issue/47796
(In reply to Orion Poplawski from comment #3) > Susi - you can add be to epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 as well. done. It looks like I updated both in May; idk if there's been any new releases since then. The problem is that the driver is buggy and one has to rely on third-party patches.. not ideal
I've updated both to the latest versions and cleaned up the version conditionals. I don't really use these so no idea what issues they have or if anything has been fixed.
FEDORA-EPEL-2022-d4c2afd846 has been submitted as an update to Fedora EPEL 9. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-EPEL-2022-d4c2afd846
Sorry for the late reply. > Comaintainers are welcome. It's maybe too early for me to jump in maintainership, still need to learn a lot about the whole building, build troubleshooting and so on, thanks for asking though! > I've updated both to the latest versions and cleaned up the version conditionals. I don't really use these so no idea what issues they have or if anything has been fixed. As I have a ET-3750, will test with that one, but of course this is not really depth testing, hope you don't have too much troubles with maintaining it. Thank you very much for the build!
FEDORA-EPEL-2022-d4c2afd846 has been pushed to the Fedora EPEL 9 stable repository. If problem still persists, please make note of it in this bug report.
