Resize volume will fail if the amount by which the thinly provisioned volume is being expanded is more than the free space in the volume group, even if it is well within the overprovisioned thin pool capacity.

1. Create a vg and a thinpool on the vg
2. If x is the amount of free space on the vg (example, the vg is 10G, the pool is 9G and the volume is 3 G), expand the volume by 2G.

The resize operation will fail.
