cgit failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f37 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=89759768 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_37_Mass_Rebuild Please fix cgit at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, cgit will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 38, cgit will be retired, if it still fails to build. The error is due to the package note: /usr/bin/ld: cannot open linker script file /builddir/build/BUILD/.package_note-cgit-1.2.3-10.fc37.s390x.ld: No such file or directory I'll need to refresh my memory on how to work around that problem once again (as it bit me with git in the past). The package note change was just not tested or deployed terribly well, IMO. :( It should be fixed by setting `%global _package_note_file %{_builddir}/%{name}-%{version}/.package_note-%{name}-%{version}-%{release}.%{_arch}.ld` to ensure the path exists when the build/install config is defined in %prep. I'm testing a scratch build now: https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=90371244
