eterm failed to build from source in Fedora rawhide/f37 https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/taskinfo?taskID=89771157 For details on the mass rebuild see: https://fedoraproject.org/wiki/Fedora_37_Mass_Rebuild Please fix eterm at your earliest convenience and set the bug's status to ASSIGNED when you start fixing it. If the bug remains in NEW state for 8 weeks, eterm will be orphaned. Before branching of Fedora 38, eterm will be retired, if it still fails to build. This bug appears to have been reported against 'rawhide' during the Fedora Linux 37 development cycle. Changing version to 37.
It passes on x86_64, but fails on ppc64 and aarch64: checking for transparency support... yes checking for MMX support... no (no MMX detected) checking for SSE2 support... no (no SSE2 detected) checking for libast-config... libast-config checking for libast_set_program_name in -last... no ERROR: You need LibAST 0.5 or higher to build Eterm. If you already have it, you may have it installed in a strange place, or you may need to run /sbin/ldconfig. If you don't have it, I can download it for you. Shall I retrieve and build LibAST now (y/n)? configure: error: Fatal: libast not found.
A bit puzzled by this, both eterm and libast have been more or less unmodified last 15 years.
