Red Hat Satellite engineering is moving the tracking of its product development work on Satellite to Red Hat Jira (issues.redhat.com). If you're a Red Hat customer, please continue to file support cases via the Red Hat customer portal. If you're not, please head to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira and file new tickets here. Individual Bugzilla bugs will be migrated starting at the end of May. If you cannot log in to RH Jira, please consult article #7032570. That failing, please send an e-mail to the RH Jira admins at rh-issues@redhat.com to troubleshoot your issue as a user management inquiry. The email creates a ServiceNow ticket with Red Hat. Individual Bugzilla bugs that are migrated will be moved to status "CLOSED", resolution "MIGRATED", and set with "MigratedToJIRA" in "Keywords". The link to the successor Jira issue will be found under "Links", have a little "two-footprint" icon next to it, and direct you to the "Satellite project" in Red Hat Jira (issue links are of type "https://issues.redhat.com/browse/SAT-XXXX", where "X" is a digit). This same link will be available in a blue banner at the top of the page informing you that that bug has been migrated.

Correcting the title and ensuring anyone that verifies this in the future, the manifest tool should be available in Utils repository only.

Comment 3 Lukas Pramuk 2022-09-08 09:36:42 UTC
@ehelms
Since we changed the source of python3-pulp_manifest from satellite-client repos to satellite-utils repos we also should file a BZ to fix the documentation, right?

Comment 4 Sayan Das 2022-09-08 09:49:17 UTC
I had created one few days back as a part of 6.12 testathon : https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2123940

Maybe the same BZ can be used to fix the repo names for both RHEL 7 and 8

Comment 5 Lukas Pramuk 2022-10-04 12:26:23 UTC
FailedQA.

@Satellite 6.12.0 Snap13
python39-pulp_manifest-3.0.0-3.el8pc.noarch.rpm

as per https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2122205#c6 the rpm should be in both Satellite and Utils repos (we do not ship *Utils only* rpms)

>> python39-pulp_manifest rpm is provided only in Satellite_Utils_6_12_RHEL8 repo

Comment 6 Evgeni Golov 2022-10-04 12:41:40 UTC
(In reply to Eric Helms from comment #2)
> Correcting the title and ensuring anyone that verifies this in the future,
> the manifest tool should be available in Utils repository only.

and by "in Utils repository only" we mean: "only in Satellite and Utils, but not in Client repository" ;)

Comment 7 Lukas Pramuk 2022-10-14 11:06:16 UTC
VERIFIED.

@Satellite 6.11.3 Snap2
python39-pulp_manifest-3.0.0-3.el8pc.noarch.rpm

>>> there is now python39-pulp_manifest rpm provided by both Satellite_6_12_RHEL8 and Satellite_Utils_6_12_RHEL8 compose repos
